Google sign-in and account data

Google proves your identity to SeekHop. We use the stable Google account identifier, email address, sign-in timestamps, accepted policy versions, and security records needed to create and protect your SeekHop account. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or unrelated Google data.

The website and desktop app use the same account data. SeekHop stores only the defined account-data projection; search terms, selected text, clipboard contents, file contents, screenshots, and OCR or AI input are excluded. The account page exposes recovery history, while destructive data operations are restricted to authorized SeekHop administration.

Browser language selection

On a first visit to an unprefixed public page, the page reads your browser’s language setting locally before page content is displayed. If it matches a supported language, it loads that page’s matching language path; otherwise it loads English.

The automatic choice uses no cookies, local storage, or session storage. Your browser language is not sent with HTTP requests and is not used for sign-in, marketing, cross-site tracking, or profiling. When you manually switch languages, we store that choice only in this tab’s session storage so later unprefixed pages keep it; it is cleared when the tab session ends.

Website analytics

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregated visits and page performance. Its analytics script sends visit- and performance-related technical information to Cloudflare to produce aggregate reports such as traffic, page views, referral sources, and performance.

The analytics script does not collect what you type, selected text, or search content. Ordinary local opening and search in the desktop product are not sent through the website either.

Ordinary local opening and search

Ordinary local opening and search in SeekHop do not pass through SeekHop Server. Only after you choose an external site or tool does the content needed for that action go to the relevant service, which handles it under its own rules.

The desktop product will first try to read selected content directly. When a copy fallback is needed, it will restore the existing clipboard whenever possible. The product interface will explain when content cannot be read or fallback fails.

Version, device, and update telemetry

SeekHop may process app version, operating-system family, installation or device identifier, update channel, update-check result, download result, and timestamps to operate releases, measure compatibility, and investigate failures. When you are signed in, these records may be associated with your account.

This telemetry does not include local search terms, selected text, file names, document names, document contents, clipboard contents, screenshots, or OCR text. Ordinary local search does not pass through the account service.

Your choices

• Not using online capabilities does not change Free’s ordinary local opening, searching, or continuing.
• Plus is a subscription for personal methods and ongoing services. Credits are an online-processing balance, not a third edition.
• Once an official support channel is confirmed, the website will publish a path for personal-information requests.
