When verifying information, you can keep the same original input across several independent sources.
Multi-site search is for tasks that require source comparison, not for interrupting every simple lookup by default. The default path should remain as short as possible.
How it differs from result aggregation
Multi-site search only sends the same content to several target sites. Each site independently shows its results, privacy notice, access limits, and terms of use. The tool should not disguise those results as one answer or alter a target site's content.
